LJ's attempt

Why why why do LJ tend to "improve" their stuff by being awkward. I quite like the filter option of "journals only" when I do just want to read friend's lj and not ALL the communities I am in. I tend to read things separately.

And the navigation strip? Meh, I am not fussed but feels it makes my LJ looks messy.

Sometimes ppl forget to K.I.S.S.

And I am not an old dinosaur to new changes, it is just inconvenient to go to "Manage friends" crap to just read journals.

Oi, LJ developers, bring back the simple read filter options pls- if you don't know what I am referring to, it is the Journals Only, Community only etc etc. Or put that option in the spangly new navigation strip.

Yes, I have already commented on their newsfeed post but in case they MISS my point...

I know exactly what you mean - if I have the time I can take a leisurely scan through all the comms, news, cartoons and various posts people have made. I quite often only have ten minutes, though, and the 'journals only' filter was really useful for that!

Apparently they have now put in the filter on navigation strip, the funnel looking icon next to the Friend's page in the middle of strip. But the conversation bubble goes upwards and hides all the options so can't even click or choose the damn options.

They say to try different journal styles but that has not worked and my Mozilla is up to date. Clearly they should have just a drop down menu instead of some stupid conversation bubble for no apparent reason apart from aesthetic purpose in their view.

Can you access those filters now?
