I forgot that last Friday was the Autumn festival or Mooncake festival in the chinese calendar. :(
There is normally family gatherings, mooncakes to eat, little children going on lantern walks- showing off their swinging lanterns and lots of merriment.
I used to love my lanterns- it comes in all sorts of shapes- butterfly,squirrel,fish, dog, dragon. Traditional lanterns are my fav but these days, they are plastic and have batteries for light instead of candles.
I have to browse for some photos and show you what I am talking abt!
