Today we got a surprised call from 2 very good friends of ours, G & S saying they were here. COOOOOL! We went over to the house they are letting out soon and helped abit on the tidying up/ chucking out stuff as well as being persuaded to take some of the furniture. We decided the 2 chest of drawers and the dressing table was pretty useful so we said yes with not too much hesitation. *grins* It is nice to know the dressing table was Sarah's late Great Aunt Mabel's and that Sarah would like it be owned by someone who would love it. It is a pretty piece. :) Was great chatting and joking with them again and it is very apparent that we miss them a great deal since they moved away to somewhere in the sticks where the nearest fish and chips was 3 miles away. *grins* Always welcome to ours anytime, those 2! ;)

We then went to Jumbo's for dinner and Gaz was in his element. :D Food was pretty good and Gaz exclaimed that the food labelled spicy/hot was indeed mouth blowing spicy. I calmly tasted and went, yeah, it is slightly spicy. Yes, my asbastos tongue. Hehehehe! When I went for the Hong Kong sweet dessert which was more like sweet bean soup, Gaz could not believe it was edible as the look of it was not the most appealing. Well, I was brought up with sweet dessert soupy thing, so I did not feel at all revolted but their combination of ingredients are not authentic in the least but hey, I just wanted to try and see if it was any good. It was sweet and edible but I prefer home made ones from home (this I refer to Malaysia). I hope to cook for them next time or whenever they are here longer but would need at least one night announcement to firstly think what to cook and secondly take out hunk of meats to defrost. I love being with ppl who enjoy food and drink. It is always a pleasure to cook for them or just hang out and tuck in.

I think this year I just barbequed once. Oops! :) Was hoping to so some proper satays over the hot coals. Oh well, always next year.

Am gonna try to finish some art projects of mine. I enjoy drawing and painting. Makes me feel wonderful. My favourite subjects are more of a fantasy genre, which at the moment are fairies and muses. Before that I was into Art Nouveau and polar bears. Maybe next subject would be dragons.

I do have a recipe site at the moment on a website. Am just working up courage to post link here. It is still in baby stages and needs more recipes which I am doing bit by bit. :)

Does anyone have the following books I can borrow: Lady of Trillium (Marion Z. Bradley) ; Trillium of the Sky (Julian May)? Thanks!
