Pretty pretty pretty....
Sep. 10th, 2004 07:47 pmIt has been 1 week and 4 days since we lost our sky box and the one we have successfully bid for from ebay last Friday has still yet to turn up. Payment has been paid, he has received it and he is one sour puss I tell ya. Won't be doing business with him again. Anyway am hoping he will get his ass moving to send us our box 1st class as he promised by tomorrow or Monday. We do miss our sky as the normal 5 channels are abit limited esp when all those soaps come on. So we are watching dvds and vids instead. I think we would be happier if we could receive those free channels. Ah well. It is only tv so nothing to do abt it now.
Been looking at ebay at a few items. Paul asked me to have a looksie for a book series which is called Mash Goes.... and we found that the books were going for over £18. Now these are thin books and Paul has 5 of them here. Those titles that he has, went for obscene amount of money for a book which Paul described as "not terrible good". This may be contradictory to some but to pay that much for a book that costs 85p not long ago in the first place was quite laughable to me. These are not 1st editions etc etc. Went to have a look on Amazon and was not surprise to find that they were from £40 onwards. *scratches head* I concluded maybe they were collectable for some as they probably not widely distributed etc anymore.
Apart from books, I was looking at jewellery. The mind boggles at some of the BEAUTIFUL pieces on auction. One of my favourite is an Edwardian butterfly belt. Starting bid from £39.00. No one has bidded yet. TEMPTED- so very tempted. It was sooooo beautiful... Other pretty items that I liked included an intricate lampwork bracelet, fluorite pendants, charms. Oh well, I can only look and drool at them. :)
