I had a good week!!

Thursday- met [livejournal.com profile] glitterybint for lunch and then we went to see [livejournal.com profile] longrat and baby Roo for abit and had a nice girly chat. Smiley afternoon!

Got home just before 5 and managed to get dinner on time before [livejournal.com profile] edy_ arrived and then we went to belly dancing with [livejournal.com profile] agent_snow and [livejournal.com profile] longrat. Lesson was good but arms ache from doing veil work/moves. Hehehehe! Very hot though!

Friday- met [livejournal.com profile] edy_ for lunch at Euro Cafe which does ethical and organic food. Service was slow, food was ok, but not wow-wow. And they dunno what milkshakes or fruit smoothies they have or can do for us. [livejournal.com profile] edy_'s milkshake was warm! :s But perhaps it coz they are still new and might work out kinks later. Good concept though!! :) Then head to town, went to Next again and their tops are £5 now! Sale stuff. Got another top for me and a top for sister- both for £5 each. Rahhhh! :) Then head to Morrison to do grocery shopping to free Saturday morning.
Got home with stuff at 5pm- exhausted and hot! x_x

Saturday- Went for adventure with [livejournal.com profile] edy_, [livejournal.com profile] rhubarbtriangle, Megan, Claire and Jo to well dressing somewhere in the Peaks and then we had lunch at Peacock's lunch. Then it was berry picking at pick your own where we got raspberries and blackcurrants. I am thinking of trying my hand at brewing blackcurrant wine with my glut. :)

Today- meeting [livejournal.com profile] edy_ for shopping and dim sum. Lalalalala! Whheeeee!

Hmmm, I seem to be seeing alot of [livejournal.com profile] edy_ this week, but am I complaining? NO way!! Always good to see lovely friends everyday!;)

Aha! I am baaaaack!! Well, back online that is. In laws left yesterday around 9.45am after a nice brekkie of pancakes. Visit was ok, very busy and it can be quite tiring to keep guests watered and fed through out their stay. They seem to enjoy their stay which is good and had a mini adventure to Howath to visit the Bronte Parsonage on Friday. It was a longer drive than expected and golly, there were many speed cameras in half a mile from Halifax to Howath! I have photos which will be put up shortly and also there was the unfortunate business of car being clamped. Someone gave us his ticket which had 2 hours and 40 mins left on it when we were on the way to the ticket booth to buy our ticket and said "I don't suppose you could use this?" and disappeared rather quickly before we could say thanks. Anyways, long story cut short, it seems very likely that we were set up by the dodgy clamper and his mate with enticing unsuspecting visitors with a goodwill gesture of a free parking ticket. It was quite funny when FIL called his game and he became quite flustered at first and then very defensive. Paid the fine anyways but he will not be hearing the end of his dodgy action. Will put up the photo of carpark and a mugshot of the clamper here just to make sure that no one else we know will be taken in by surprise if they were visiting Howath. Letters of complaints will be written just to make future cons difficult for Mr Clamper and his little buddy. By point of law, he is right, but enticement is not. Despite that little incident, the visit was lovely and we went to Holmfirth on the way back so his mum could see where "The Last of the Summer Wine" was made and had a little browse. :)

Saturday was the day of the play in Botanical Gardens which was Romeo and Juliet by Heartbreak Productions. It was rather good and enjoyable and the weather was fab! In laws were impressed and had a good time that day in the Gardens. Had Happy House for dinner which we treated them to. Yummy!

Sunday- Made toad in a hole with veg and onion gravy for Sunday lunch before heading off to Megan's to do part 2 of apricot wine making. Was nice to see Erica and Dave and chatting to them whilst doing the wine. Then head back home where family was watching footie on telly with lots to drink. Was gonna go to Brass in the Park on Weston Park but it rained at 2pm so decided not to go. And it was Father's Day too! So FIL got a card and a very very nice bottle of whisky (Isle of Jura).

Monday- FIL had rather too much to drink last nite and the original plan of heading home before 8am was postponed for abit since he didn't sleep too well last nite. Made pancakes for brekkie to rejuvenate him before the long drive back. Unfortunately, the car broke down in Rugby where the alternater and oil pressure went and red lights were flashing and they got towed all the way home to Brighton. Poor things! :( They only reached home at 7pm!! Golly!

Anyways, it was a pleasant visit and weather has been rather nice. But I am glad to have the house back to ourselves again! :)

Hope all of you are having a fab week. :D
