Movies & Updates
Mar. 12th, 2006 11:32 amFriday- Paul had half day off so we went and watched The Matador which Pierce Brosnan was an assassin/death facilitator who meets a businessman and it all rolls on from there. Very good! Quite funny and I think a different role for the suave Mr Brosnan. Then we did Morrison Shopping and then came back and got our futon bed delivered by
glassrat later. Had a nice chat over hot tea which was nice. Then it was watching West Wing at 9pm. Am sad that the series has now been cancelled. :(
Saturday- Watched Syriana which was of course a political film which George Clooney won an Oscar for his role. It was good, makes you think abt events etc. Then came home and watched Ladder 49 on dvd which we rented from one of the online rentals. Well, why oh why do they have to put in the daft "Irish" pipe music almost every scene?? Phooey, talk abt killing the movie with unsuitable music. Like we don't get it that there are alot of Irish American descendents at Baltimore- what with St Paddy's day and "IRISH" pubs there. Then had dinner and then watched Stargate SG1 at 9pm. Oh also, we had a quick spin at Meadowhell. Paul bought me Beyond Good and Evil for the Xbox! :) Game! Pressie! :)
Sunday, well, snow snow. But I may need to go out in snow to get a woog (aka WOOD but I mistyped and anyways WOOG is a word of amusement to many! ;) ) glue since we accidently knocked one of the shelves off the wall with futon frame on Friday. Turns out Andy just used wood glue to stick them all together. Andy was the previous owner whose DIY is questionable.
