Bite this, Mr Draaaacula!
Oct. 9th, 2006 03:22 pmOkie,
I bought some large field mushrooms and I wanted garlic butter mushrooms. Then I remembered Nigel Slater's Real Food show where they have butter garlic mushroom in foccacia. So I stuffed 2 of the mushroom with garlic and parsley butter, place in a baking dish and baked at Gas mark 5 for 15-20 minutes till butter is melted and mushroom is cooked.
Cut some bread, lashings of english mustard and a quick dip in buttery sauce and one mushroom in between the slices of bread, you have the most garlicky mushroom "burger" sandwich ever. Extremely buttery and messy, not to mention ever so garlicky.
So I guess I am safe from Draaaaacula tonight. ;)
Pungent and delightful. ;) *goes and get some minty chewing gum*
