The 15th Day of CNY!
Feb. 12th, 2006 10:41 amToday is the last day of chinese new year also known as "Chap Goh Meh" in Hokkien dialect. It is also the chinese Valentine Day today. :) Whilst many chinese back home would be having a big family dinner and tossing the last "yee sang" salad for the new year, we will be having food with mr & Mrs Wong of Happy House later at 2 pm. Yes, we have close relations to the take away ppl- yikes! They are lovely and I have been going there for abt oooh, 9 years plus since uni days. This was a Friday ritual when socials were at the Star and Garter. And carried on ever since. :)
Anyways, apart from that, I have been busy making prep for ppl to visit who are arriving some time today but not staying with me. Lots of things to do though! :)
Yesterday I took Paul to look at the allotment. He thinks it is not worth doing the greenhouse up if kids are going to chuck things at it. I think we will have to see. I will need some ppl to help and advice some aspects of DIY which I have to admit, I am not very good at. But this is all abt new learning curve. :)
Brie sandwiches here, hot tea and chatting to mum. Better scoot! Have a lovely lazy Sunday! :)
